In just a few short months we will begin the most important election cycle in Michigan history. Every single seat in the Michigan House will be up for election, and political pundits are predicting competitive races statewide. With John McCain at the top of the ticket, we will have opportunities to pick up seats in marginally Democratic areas - provided we put in the effort to win!

My long term goal is to build Republican majorities at all levels of government, but for the next election cycle we will focus on one obvious starting point - the Michigan House - and help build a farm team for the future by assisting local candidates.

Wild Game Cookbook is available

The Michigan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus is very pleased to announce the first edition of the "Michigan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus: Wild Game Cookbook"

The Cookbook contains recipes submitted by elected officials, their staff, representatives from the outdoor community and other state employees.

The first edition cookbook contains more than 130 recipes and would make an excellent addition to any kitchen. It contains many recipes from big to small game and everything in-between. Also in the book you can view many of the contributor's pictures doing their favorite outdoor activity, hunting and fishing.

All proceeds (100%) for this cookbook are being donated to the Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger program, a nonprofit organization that works with processors and charities to provide wild game to Michigan's less fortunate.
